Mammatus is a propeller-driven civilian plane, designed and produced by a fictional, in-game vehicle manufacturing company JoBuilt, based on the real-life company Peterbilt, which specializes in trucks. Though JoBuilt manufactures trucks, aircraft is also in it's competence, and Mammatus is an example of a company's production.
Though JoBuilt Mammatus made it's first appearance in the fifth part of the Grand Theft Auto series, it looks very similar to Dodo from GTA III, GTA: SA, GTA: Vice City Stories (don't confuse it with Dodo from GTA 5). Visually Mammatus looks like a stereotypical civilian propeller aircraft, like those we used to see in old, now classics, movies of the second half of the past century. When buying Mammatus, it always appears ia c full black paint job in Hangar, it can be, however, easily repainted, if necessary, just like any other vehicle in-game. There is a two headlights on each wing of the plane.
JoBuilt Mammatus is moved into action by a signle propeller, located, traditionally, at the tope of it's nose. The plane has the weight of 2000 kilograms, which makes it one of the lightest planes in GTA 5, however the power of it's engine and the size of the propeller leaves much to be desired, as Mammatus is the slowest plane in the game, furthermore - it is even slower than most of helicopters. The plane requires a rather short runway, it it's landing speed is high enought to make it stop almost instantly, which is the main and one of the few advantages of the plane. Mammatus has a good manoeuvrability, but while in air, it looses it's speed quiet quickly, making it important to maintain momentum.
JoBuilt Mammatus is designed after real-life propeller plane Cessna 182 Skylane.
