Frank Hamlin, Executive Vice President of GameStop, recently discussed the next generation of consoles in his interview for Gamespot. Players will now be able to not only download digital copies of their games, but also use physical copies, which was not the case with Xbox One, for example. Both Sony and Microsoft are coming up with new subscription plans, and we might even get the ability to try out games before buying them.
Next-gen consoles will support 8K resolution and are expected to be much more powerful than
their predecessors as they will have solid-state hard drives, which will significantly reduce loading time in games.
