In March 1996, V 32-valve g 3.0 l working volume (218 HP) and 4.0 l (286 HP)
on models 730i and 740i were replaced by more economical V8: 3.5-liter, 235-horsepower, which in the urban cycle saves to 1.5 litres/100 km run, and thus fuel consumption does not exceed 14.2 l/100 km, and a superb new 4.4-litre 286-strong, with excellent dynamic properties. At the same time, for the cheapskates (mostly offices, handing out cars with driver) have mastered model 725tds with 2.5-liter, 143-horsepower turbodizelem with direct injection.
