Mallard is a civilian propeller monoplane, engineered and produced by a fictional in-game American manufacturer of airplanes and helicopters, Western Company, which parodies Sikorsky Aircraft, Boeing and Bell Helicopter.
Mallard is created by Western Company to perform the hardest aerobatic tricks, numerous acrobatic stunts, and looks it correspondingly to it's purpose - it is the epitome of minimalism and functionalism, as everything in it's design is made to achieve the maximal manoeuvrability. Western Mallard is completely exclusive for the fifth part of Grand Theft Auto games series - it didn't make it's appearance in any other part of GTA, however the plane with the same purpose did appear in GTA: San Andreas - Stuntplane (yes, a straightforward name), but Mallard is a monoplane and Stuntplane is biplane, which makes them vastly different visually.
Monoplane Western Mallard is equipped with a one single engine, which turns the plane's only propeller into a motion - that's enough for Mallard to achieve a decent speed of 161 kilometres per hour, and it also has one of the best accelerations in the game (which also lets it take-off with a rather short runway). But the strongest side of Western Mallard is it's extreme manoeuvrability, it has absolutely no match in GTA 5 - it can perform any, even the most difficult aerobatic stunts without a problem. Mallard features in a number of San Andreas fligh school challenges. You can buy this plane for a small for such a plane price of $250000 on the www.ElitasTravel.com website.
Prototypes of Western Mallard in the real world are Zivko Edge 540, Extra 300S.
