Msta-s 2s19, standard version

Msta-s 2s19 index is a modern Russian assault gun (Sau) class self-propelled howitzers, built on the chassis of tank t-80 and guns 2a64 (basically the same buksiruemomu gun 2a65 "Msta-b").

Designed for destruction of tactical nuclear weapons, artillery and mortar batteries, tanks and other armoured vehicles, anti-tank weapons, manpower, air defense and missile control centers, as well as to destroy field fortifications and prevent enemy reserves deep in the manoeuvres of his defense.

Can fire on observed and otherwise unmonitored objectives with direct and indirect fire, including work in the mountain conditions.
The weapon used as shots of guests and is fitted with a ground without losing the rate of fire (7-8 rounds/min).

In 1989, new assault tank adopted artillery regiments of infantry and armored divisions of the Soviet army under the designation 2s19 "Msta-s" (with-self propelled, unlike the towed guns 2a65 "Msta-b").
The first time was at the air show in Zhukovsky in August 1992.
