BMW E34 - modification of the body of the BMW fifth series, which was produced from 1988 to 1996 inclusive. A total of 1,333,412 cars were produced, including 124,656 station wagons. The car was designed in the style of a traditional BMW, but at the same time contained modern technology. It was also equipped with automatic stability control (ASC) or traction control (ASC+T).

The fifth series became the most representative in terms of the set of engines in the production program of the company, which created for it a wide range of in-line six-cylinder gasoline power units with Bosch-Motronic injection: 2.0 liters, 129 hp, tires 195/65 HR15 (model 520i); 2.5 L, 170 hp (525i); 3.0 l, 188 hp, tyres 205/65 VR15 (530i) and 3.4 l, 211 hp, tyres 205/65 VR15 (535i).
